Holy Spirit College is located in Mackay, halfway between Brisbane and Cairns. The Mackay Region coastline stretches 200 km north from St Lawrence to Laguna Whitsunday’s, and inland to the town of Clermont.  The region’s colourful past is economically founded upon coal, sugar, beef and tourism.

Holy Spirit College is a catholic co-educational college which nurtures learners through quality curriculum and supportive pastoral care based on the life and values of jesus. Students are empowered and encouraged to reconise and develop their gifts so that they become involved as responsible community members.

Holy Spirit College currently has over 830 students enrolled in years 8 - 12. The campus occupies 10.7 hectares with a full size football field, soccer pitch, basketball/netball, volleyball and beach volleyball courts as well as playing areas.  All buildings are at ground level. The building program has provided specialist facilities for catering/home economics, industrial technology & design, performing arts and a large physical education area with the canteen and ablutions.  Refurbishment has provided quality specialist facilities for information technology, art (including photography), and science.  The resource centre and staff areas have been extended and refurbished and are airconditioned.
