KIERAN DAVIS graduated from HSC in 2009 and was one of our College Leaders that same year. Kieran worked at a local engineering firm for a short time before completing a Navy Officer course. He then attended the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra to complete military training and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honours). Whilst at ADFA, Kieran won a major award – RSL of Australia Sword for Leadership and Officer Development.
CHRIS HONNERY graduated from HSC in 2009 and held the position of Yara House Captain that same year. Chris went on to study a Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Arts (Sports Studies) at the University of Queensland.
Liam McNeill graduated from HSC in 2008 and is employed by the Australian Army as a fitter/armourer with the Townsville-based 3rd Combat Engineer Regiment (3CER).
Shae Holmes graduated from HSC in 2008 and was the Christian Leadership Committee Chairperson. Shae was originally accepted into university to study Occupational Therapy but decided to follow her passion to become a teacher. Shae completed a Bachelor of Learning Management at CQ University and graduated with distinction. She also won the Mackay education prize and the Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton prize for having the highest GPA at the Mackay campus.
AMANDA PELAGALLI graduated from HSC in 2005. After a ‘gap’ year, Amanda worked in a local financial planning firm for 3 years where she completed her Diploma of Financial Services. Deciding on a career change, Amanda became a travel agent with Harvey World Travel where she worked for 3 years and travelled to destinations such as Europe, South America and Asia.
MATTHEW PORTER graduated from HSC in 2002. For several years after graduating, Matthew worked in the computer and electronics industry until he started his own computer repair business in 2006.
GERARD BONAVENTURA graduated from HSC in 2002 and then joined the Royal Australian Air Force. He attended the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra from 2003-2005, concurrently completing Officer Training and a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales. In 2006, he posted to RAAF BASE East Sale in Victoria where he underwent air traffic control training.
LOUISE NICOL (nee WESSEL) graduated from HSC in 2000 and was the College Leader, School Dux and received the Marist Sisters’ Award that same year. Louise came back to speak at HSC Speech Night in 2005.
