During Term 2, the Year 12 Marine and Aquatic Practices students studied the topics of Aquaculture and Marine Radio.  Students visited the Mackay Area Fish Stocking Association (MAFSA) to learn about how the local waterways are re-stocked.  Thank you to Kieron Galletly and Tim Galletly who enthusiastically explained the aquaculture process to the students and to Kieron Galletly who also came to HSC to speak to the class about the aquaculture industry.

At the end of the term, students undertook a Marine Radio course to gain a certification.  Students sat the exam on Friday 12 June to obtain their MROCP license which will enable them to volunteer at the VMR.  Thank you to Sonya and Barry Scoble for conducting both the course and the assessment.
